MWD was tasked with strip-down, inspect, repair, re-build, test and re-commissioning of a 3.5Te Rib crane and HPU for HMS Scott. The equipment was fully stripped down and all major components where shot-blasted and painted prior to reassembly.
Specific design modifications where carried out as requested by the customer to improve the overall operation of the system. The HPU was fully refurbished and again improvements to the overall design where implemented to the customers satisfaction.
A thorough reporting system was implemented throughout the course of the project to ensure our clients needs where being met. On completion a documentation / certification package was produced for hand over to the customer.
The completed system has recently been re-installed and tested on-board the vessel.
